It's times like these for a deep dive into Dave Grohl's relationship with his wife Jordyn Blum.
The Foo Fighters frontman revealed he welcomed a baby girl outside of his marriage to the music video director.
"I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her," Grohl—who shares kids Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, with Blum—wrote on a Sept. 10 Instagram post of his new daughter. "I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness."
The 55-year-old added, "We're grateful for your consideration toward all children involved, as we move forward together."
Grohl did not share any further details about the identity of his newborn's mother.
The Nirvana alum's baby news comes one month after his and Jordyn's 21st wedding anniversay. The couple got married in August 2003, six years after Grohl settled his divorce with his first wife Jennifer Youngblood.

How did Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum meet?
Grohl and Blum met in 2001 at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar, according to a Spin profile on the Foo Fighters. At the time, Blum was a producer for MTV.
The early days of their romance was admittedly rocky. As Grohl recounted in a 2007 interview with Elle, "When I first met my wife, we went out on a few dates and I decided that I wasn't ready for a serious relationship, so I just stopped calling."
However, the rocker said he had "a revelation" three months later and called Blum back.
"She picked up the phone," he remembered, "and said, 'Oh, I never thought I'd hear from you again.'"
When did Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum get married?
The pair tied the knot on Aug. 2, 2003. Their wedding, held at their Los Angeles home, was attended by Grohl's former Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic and music producer Clive Davis, according to People.
